to get the y you have to rearrange one of the equations the easiest being the second one you can rearrange it into x=y+1 then instead of changing the y like you did for x you substitute the x, since we know x=y+1 we can turn the top equation into y= 3(y+1)-13 which i believe you can solve just as a normal algebraic equation
